Fashion 4 Development (F4D) is a global platform founded by Evie Evangelou in January 2011 in support of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals and “Every Woman, Every Child”, the UN initiative spearheaded by Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon. F4D builds upon the core leadership principles of the 4Es: Educate, Empower, Enhance and Enrich, and activates partnerships that promote the fashion and textile industry, advance economic and social development activities, preserve culture and empower women. In 2015 F4D committed to support the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and place a significant focus on sustainable lifestyle practices for a healthier world. Fashion 4 Development’s message to promote positive social change is received with open arms around the world, with initiatives in over 20 countries.


The International Woolmark Prize celebrates outstanding fashion talents from around the globe who showcase the beauty and versatility of Merino wool. It is the world’s most prestigious award for rising fashion stars.

First held in 1953 as an initiative of the International Wool Secretariat, the award was won the following year by iconic fashion designers Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent.

Today, the International Woolmark Prize continues to recognise design excellence using Australian Merino wool. The prize crosses borders and cultures to spotlight emerging fashion talent from hotspots in more than 60 countries before a who’s who of the international fashion industry.

DHL has been appointed by the Arab Fashion Council as the official logistics partner for the Arab Fashion Week to support designers in the shipping their collection globally and sponsor selected designers to participate at the Arab Fashion Week. The selected designers create a special capsule collection inspired by the DHL history and mission.


The Arab Fashion Council and Microsoft entered into a strategic partnership agreement appointing Microsoft as the official tech partner for the Arab Fashion Week. The partnership supports designers with the best innovative tool that boost their production and creativity and provide the necessary tools for innovation in Fashion Technology. The partnership sponsors selected fashion designers to showcase at the Arab Fashion Week a special fashion tech collection.


Umdasch, a 150 years old company from Austria, known as one of the world’s best store makers, has entered into a partnership agreement with the Arab Fashion Week for building the 1422 Dubai the world’s first Ready Couture store in Citywalk, Dubai. 1422 Dubai is a multi-million dollars projects enabling designers to sell their collection in a fully managed prestigious store without the hassle of logistics and administration. 1422 Dubai has open on the 24th of April 2019. 


The Arab Fashion Council has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Meraas, a Dubai-based conglomerate that aims to enhance the emirate’s cityscape with a human-centric approach to developing assets in the real estate, tourism, hospitality, F&B, retail, leisure and entertainment, technology, maritime, and healthcare sectors. Meraas pursues its mission to build creative urban culture where thriving communities can take root. Among its investments are some of the most admired real-estate properties in premium locations, such as Bluewaters Residences, Bvlgari Residences, Cherrywoods, City Walk Residences, Nikki Beach Residences, Port de La Mer Residences, Villa Amalfi, and Zabeel Saray Royal Residence. The company’s portfolio comprises over 80 million square feet of total developed land, more than 3,500 homes, 2,000 retail units, and 15 landmark destinations, including Al Seef, Bluewaters, Boxpark, City Walk, Dubai Harbour, Jumeira Bay, Kite Beach, La Mer, Last Exit, Pearl Jumeira, The Beach and The Outlet Village.

The partnership strategically aims to position Dubai as a global fashion capital through the Arab Fashion Week and Citywalk Dubai as the region’s retail heaven.
