A) Fraudulent Emails and Data Recovery Attempts:
It has come to our attention that a platform is attempting to recover data by sending emails falsely signed by the Arab Fashion Council or Dubai Fashion Week. This is a fraudulent initiative. Please be vigilant about the source of any such emails.
We urge you to refrain from responding to these emails and remind you that the official site for accreditations is: https://dubaifashionweek.org.
All official communications from the Council will come from email addresses containing the domain name arabfashioncouncil.com.
If you receive any suspicious calls or emails, please notify us immediately by emailing info@arabfashioncouncil.com.
B) Scam Emails from Fake Executive Board Members:
Be aware that scammers are sending emails impersonating executive board members of the Arab Fashion Council. These fraudulent emails may request employees, partners, and fans to make purchases or run errands on behalf of the Council. Please note that the Arab Fashion Council does not make such requests via email. Always verify the authenticity of any communication claiming to be from Arab Fashion Council before taking any action.
WARNING AND DISCLAIMER: BEWARE OF IMPOSTORS/FRAUDSTERS
C) Intellectual Property and Fraudulent Representation:
The Arab Fashion Council prioritizes the safety and well-being of its supporters, partners, collaborators, and designers. Arab Fashion Council is committed to authenticity, professionalism, and transparency. We must inform the public and designers about impostors claiming to represent the Arab Fashion Council.
These impostors are copying the Arab Fashion Council’s proprietary site, intellectual property, and copyrighted materials to invite participation in fashion events that are neither verified nor supported by international fashion authorities. Beware of third-party presentations that replicate the Arab Fashion Council’s materials. Do not share any financial information or payment details with such entities. The Arab Fashion Council will never request such information.
If anyone claiming to represent the Arab Fashion Council or organizing official fashion events contacts you, do not respond without verifying their identity. Do not share your documents or credit card details. The ARAB FASHION COUNCIL will never ask for such information.
The Arab Fashion Council’s success has led to smaller, unverified platforms in the Middle East stealing our intellectual property and falsely claiming to be part of the official fashion calendar. If you encounter such instances, please promptly email us at info@arabfashioncouncil.com.
Disclaimer:
The Arab Fashion Council is not responsible for any losses, damages, or other liabilities incurred as a result of fraudulent communications or actions by third parties impersonating our representatives. It is crucial to verify the authenticity of all communications claiming to be from the Arab Fashion Council. Your vigilance and cooperation are vital in preventing fraud and maintaining the integrity of our community.
Yours Faithfully,
Compliance Team, the Arab Fashion Council
