hile social distancing rules and regulations appear to be easing in some parts of the world, many fashion week events will continue to take place online in the coming months.

International wholesale platform JOOR has teamed up with Arab Fashion Council for the upcoming Arab Fashion Week. Scheduled to take place from October 21-23, the platform will support virtual showrooms for Arab designers by employing JOOR Passport technology.

“Today we can promise our designers to benefit from intelligent data analytics that no physical event has access to, which only JOOR the leading smart virtual showroom can make possible,” Arab Fashion Council Founder & CEO Jacob Abrian said.

How exactly does it work? JOOR Passport will create a one-stop-shop for industry professionals and buyers keen to see a collection’s latest pieces. The platform includes a function to upload data and another for users who want to visit a particular designer’s website. Buyers can also finalize their entire order and complete the transaction via their app.

“We are confident that this shift will enable Arab designers to increase their global network with buyers which is in line with our vision to export Arab creativity worldwide,” Chief Strategy Officer of Arab Fashion Council Mohammed Aqra said.
