Arab Fashion Council Fashion Fund 2025 — Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 30 JUNE 2025

By applying to the Arab Fashion Council’s (AFC) Fashion Fund 2025 (“Fund”), applicants agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility

• Open to MENA’s emerging and established Ready‑to‑Wear fashion designers being in the business since less than 10 years.
• Applicants must represent a legally registered brand.
• Applicants must be aged 18 or older at time of application.

2. Fund Value & Structure

• The Fund is valued at USD 500,000, awarded once every two years to one designer
• It functions as a four‑season, two‑year brand‑building accelerator, not a one-time cash prize

3. Application Process

• Applications open in July 2025 and close per announced deadline.
• Applications must be submitted online, in a single session, and cannot be paused or resumed.
• Submission requires brand assets, including portfolio, lookbook, line sheet, press clips, and editorials.

4. Program Deliverables: During the two‑year period, the selected designer will receive:

• Three fully produced runway shows (casting, styling, PR, social media) and Paris showroom representation aligned with pre‑season markets
• Tailored capsule collections for cultural seasons (e.g., Ramadan, Eid), retail integration across the GCC, and digital marketing & e‑commerce support
• One season dedicated to a collaboration with a major global brand, co‑designed to elevate commercial reach and credibility
• Ongoing mentorship from industry experts (editors, buyers, investors), including strategic business coaching, pricing guidelines, IP support, and brand-building advisory

5. Selection Process

• Applications are evaluated by the AFC Buyers Committee and Advisory Board.
• The selection emphasizes creativity, readiness for global scaling, brand identity, and sustainable business strategy.
• Finalists may be required to provide further documentation or participate in interviews.

6. Use of Materials

• Applicants grant AFC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use submitted materials for Fund promotion, evaluation, or media coverage.
• Ownership remains with the applicant; materials will not be used beyond these purposes.

7. Confidentiality

• All non-public data shared during the process remains confidential and used solely for evaluation.
• Sensitive materials will not be disclosed without prior consent.

8. Award Release & Milestones

• Fund support is tied to milestones and program stages.
• Winner will commence the two‑year accelerator post‑announcement, culminating in four runway seasons and showroom/showcase events by 2027

9. Intellectual Property

• Designers retain full rights to their IP.
• AFC may request usage rights for promotional or marketing purposes during and after the program.

10. Disqualification

• Incomplete or false applications may be immediately disqualified.
• Any attempt to manipulate the process or submit fraudulent entries may result in forfeiture.

11. Liability & Disclaimer

• AFC assumes no liability for technical failures, delays, or errors during the application process.
• Participation does not guarantee selection or any specific outcome.

12. Modification & Termination

• AFC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Fund or these terms at any time.
• All decisions made by AFC on eligibility, finalists, and winners are final.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, with any disputes subject to the Dubai courts’ jurisdiction.

By applying, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
